T.C. Walker Mural

This 22′ x 75′ mural was commissioned by the Cook Foundation in 2019 to tell the story of Thomas Calhoun (T.C.) Walker, a local legend and American hero from Gloucester, Virginia.  The mural is painted directly on the cinder block wall at a main intersection in Gloucester’s historic downtown serving as a celebration of the contributions of the man known as Virginia’s “Black Governor.” Acrylic on cinder block.
